With more restaurants per capita than New York City, stronger winds than "The Windy City," and the stateliest state fair in the country (Hey, Big Tex!), Dallas is surprising in more ways than one. While people might come for the diverse culture, the business and education opportunities, or the mild winters, they stay for the friendly people, the beautiful scenery, the arts and entertainment options, and of course, the BBQ and Mexican food.
Of course, all these people need great communities to live in, and the Dallas area has plenty of them, with several great suburbs that are perfect for families, students, and couples alike. And who's going to take care of all those homeowners? The HOAs, of course!
That means that you, as an HOA board member, have your work cut out for you. You want to help your homeowners love their Dallas homes and communities, but it's not always easy to stay on top of resident issues and requests. Throw in community maintenance and projects, dealing with outside vendors, and staying on top of bills, dues, and payments, and you've got a full-time job on your hands.
