Boardline Academy, a new kind of training system for board members and community managers that aims to shed light on the basic aspects of property management, is available for all HOA board members starting this September.

Those interested in Boardline can sign-up through the company’s website, here, and start using the offered services immediately via the company’s free trial.

Designed to be easy to use and to teach essential board member skills simply and logically, Boardline’s specialized coursework builds confidence and creates opportunities for certification. This launch came in concurrence with a specialized launch for SpectrumAM’s customer base, all of whom were given the opportunity to access this unique resource at a heavily discounted membership price due to the two companies’ shared ownership.

Boardline’s compelling training gives board members material that is completely online, allowing learners access whenever and wherever they want. Customers will receive interactive online modules and a certification program with downloadable reference guides that can be used during board meetings. Most of what will be offered are the essential aspects to board member service. While there will be some niche topics covered, even those topics will focus on the basics needed to demonstrate competency in that specific subject area. The offered videos, quizzes, articles, and tests will help HOA boards develop authority in their roles as community leaders.

Orangebox Enterprises, the parent company who owns both SpectrumAM and Boardline, decided to create Boardline because the owners believe that if an individual is wanting to volunteer to better their community, that person should have the tools they need to succeed. Homeowners should feel empowered to participate in board service, and such training provides the confidence needed to contribute to a board, even without previous experience. To that end, the initial credentials cover coursework over the basics of HOAs, introductory risk management, introductory HOA finances, and professional expertise.

SpectrumAM has worked closely with the executive team at Boardline, who were originally SpectrumAM employees, for several years to create and optimize a ton of training material for their own employees. SpectrumAm has experienced huge benefits from having a better-educated team to serve their association’s clients through highly standardized training.

Each year, the training got better and better as feedback was incorporated into the training. Eventually, the time came when all stakeholders felt the product was ready to extend to SpectrumAM’s customer base, and when the proposal came, SpectrumAM’s executive team didn’t hesitate. While SpectrumAM will never receive a financial kickback for connecting their boards to Boardline’s services, they are hoping the partnership creates a better-educated team to serve their association clients and more confident boards who have better tools at their disposal.
