Community pools are routinely cleaned. Some associations have automatic systems that continuously clean and balance chemicals to ensure that the pool is clean and safe for use. Others have attendants on site who check the cleanliness and chemical levels throughout the day and balance as needed. Many pools are also closed one day a week to allow for a thorough cleaning after high usage times (like weekends).

Some communities opt for shorter hours each day to minimize impact on the pool and allow for the pool to be open seven days a week. Each community partners with a certified pool management company to create a plan to ensure the highest cleanliness and safety standards allowing their residents to enjoy the benefit of this added amenity.
